Our Sessions
Three ways to support your family's coordination
Each Amberkith session is educational and organisational in character. None of them constitutes legal, financial, or counselling advice. They are designed to be useful on their own and are not dependent on one another.

How we structure our sessions
Every Amberkith session follows a simple structure. We begin with a short conversation about what the family is hoping to work on. We then move through the session content — either guided communication practice or document organisation work — at a pace that suits the people in the room. We close with a review of the takeaway materials and a clear statement of what falls outside our scope and where to go for those matters.
We do not believe in padding sessions with content that is not directly useful. A Listening & Speaking Workshop is about communication, not about family law or financial planning. A Records & Planning Session is about documents and organisation, not about what decisions the family should make.
This clarity of scope is by design. It is what allows our facilitation team to do their work well and what allows families to leave the session knowing exactly what they have received.
Pre-session conversation
We discuss context and goals before the session, so the time spent together is focused on what matters to that family.
Guided session work
Sessions are structured but not rigid. Facilitators adapt the pace to the family and leave space for questions.
Tangible takeaways
Every session ends with materials the family keeps — a guide, a checklist, or an organised binder.
Clear scope close
We close every session by stating clearly what is outside our scope and where the family can find the right professional support.
Session One
Listening & Speaking Workshop
A supportive workshop where family members practise calm listening and respectful, clear speaking during a period of change. Purely educational and skills-focused, with guided prompts and a take-home guide. Not counselling or advice.
- Guided listening and speaking prompts
- Take-home communication reference guide
- Practise in a structured, low-pressure setting
- Small family format — not a group class
How the session runs
Brief conversation beforehand to understand the family's situation and what they want to work on
Guided practice with listening and speaking prompts, with a facilitator present to support the process
Review of the take-home guide and discussion of how the skills can be applied in the family's own conversations
Close with scope summary and signposting to relevant professionals for matters beyond communication education
Session Two
Family Records & Planning Session
A practical session helping a family gather and organise their own everyday paperwork and shared information into a clear, labelled folder. Focused on organisation and coordination only. Includes checklists and a simple planning template, with pointers to the appropriate professionals for formal matters.
- Labelled family folder built during the session
- Document checklist tailored to the family's situation
- Simple planning template for shared family information
- Signposting to solicitors and other professionals where needed
How the session runs
Pre-session call to agree what documents and information to gather and bring
Working through each category of document together, labelling and organising into the family folder
Completing the planning template with shared information the family agrees to record
Review of gaps that require professional attention, with written signposting for each
Session Three
Family Continuity Programme
A multi-session programme combining communication workshops, shared planning conversations, and organisation of everyday family information into one accessible place. Built for respectful, steady coordination over time. Includes a family binder and follow-up check-ins for factual, non-advisory matters.
- All elements of Sessions One and Two combined
- Dedicated family binder with structured sections
- Follow-up check-ins to maintain organisation and communication habits
- Designed for ongoing coordination, not a single event
Programme structure
Initial consultation to map the family's situation and agree the programme schedule
Communication workshop sessions — building listening and speaking habits over several weeks
Planning and organisation sessions — building the family binder and shared information resource
Follow-up check-ins at agreed intervals — factual and organisational only, not advisory

Our Standards
Protocols we follow across all sessions
Privacy and discretion
Information shared in sessions is handled under our documented privacy practices. Family details are not disclosed to third parties. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Scope integrity
We do not stray into legal, financial, counselling, or any regulated professional territory. Session scope is described in writing before booking.
Materials review
Our guides, checklists, and templates are reviewed and updated based on feedback from families who have completed sessions.
Direct access
Enquiries are handled by the same team that runs the sessions. Families speak to people who understand the work, not to a separate administrative layer.
Professional referral
When sessions surface matters that need a solicitor, financial adviser, registered counsellor, or government body, we provide written signposting rather than a vague suggestion.
Non-advisory follow-up
Where follow-up check-ins are included, they remain strictly factual and organisational. We do not use check-ins to give advice or expand the scope of what was agreed.
